20th day (Thursday Feb 14 2019)

I woke up at 7 oclock. I took a bath and had breakfast first. We went to Allied Botanical Garden by officer car of PSU sta. Maria. We arrived there at 11 am. It was the lunch break, so we went to OJT student's boarding house to have lunch there. We met many friends, there were Jhonson, Hariet, Anlyn, Ryn, Michel. We talked each others with them. They came from Ifaguo University. They knew our friends OJT students from Ifaguo also in Farmcradle. We met also from DMMSU University. All of them were boys, just one student was girl. We cooked squash with the long one to make it vegetable. After that we went to Allied. Mom Juvy and Sir Robert learned us how to plant seed in nursery. We planted ampalaya seed in trayplant. First we had to water trayplant with the small water and then we put seed into the media. Put the pointed side to germinate easyly. The seeds had to submerged into water for one night, the purpose was to germinated also because the ampalaya seed had the thick cover seed. After that we watered them again. Next, we learned how to transplant. We transplanted the seed that already germinated for 6 days to trayplant. Before we had to water them and we put one by one to there. And then we watered them again. Next we learned how to make the media. The composition of media was cococonut fiber, sand and compost. The ratio was 3. 1. 1. The purpose of using coconut fiber was to germinate faster , compost to get nutrient, sand to hold water. 

They accompanied us to walk around Allied Botanical Garden. They explained their company. Allied had less than 60 employee here. It had 23 hectares farm. There were so many vegetable there. Ampalaya, luva, squash, watermelon, corn, pepper, etc. We introduced ourselves in tagalog in front of some employee there. We took pictures also there. I hope we can get much experience there.
